This morning we woke up early and went down to the Kallang Riverside park. This is where the fun starts! At Kallang Riverside Park you can go wakeboarding on a river that is closed to all traffic except wakeboard and waterski boats. It was so much fun!

It costs 25.00 SGD for 15 minutes per person. It comes out to about $20 CAD so not too bad if you go with a few friends and make the fun last a bit longer.

After lunch, we went to the Raffles Hotel.

This hotel was built in 1896 by the Sarkies brothers, and is one of the most famous hotels in the world. The hotel recently went through many restorations and renovations and even though we’d love to stay here its around $1000 dollars a night for the least expensive room. The lobby of the hotel was huge and there are so many boutique shopping outlets there, definitely a hotel for the elite.

We couldn’t leave Raffle’s Hotel without going to the Long Bar and having a world famous Singapore Sling. It’s a sweet, alcoholic drink that’s known around the world. After our drink we headed upstairs to check out the Raffle’s History Museum, it’s full of historic colonial memorabilia.

Beautiful Hotel but $1000 is a bit pricy for a night. Would be interesting to walk through though.
